Other groups of interest in Dunedin
- U3A aims are the education and stimulation of retired members of the community. U3A Dunedin was set up in 1994 and became a registered Charity in 2001. U3A is a non-profit organisation. Three times a year, in Autumn, Winter and Spring, U3A runs a series of courses for its members. In general, each series contains six courses and each course consists of six two-hour weekly sessions, with a twenty minute break. Click on title above for more details and joining.
- A social club for retired or semi-retired professionals and business people interested in keeping minds active, expanding interests and providing fun, interesting activities and fellowship. Click on title above for more information.
- A voluntary, not for profit organisation with membership open to retired or semi-retired people over age 40 to promote friendship and fun. Activities include walking groups, singing, dancing, book club, dinners, and more. Meets once a month on Wednesdays. $10 Membership. Click on title above for more details.
- Provides companionship and activities for older people, including group discussions, crafts, guest speakers, entertainment, gentle exercise and games. Trained staff and volunteers on hand to help. Transport to and from the club can be provided. A two-course meal provided at midday, as well as morning and afternoon teas. There is a daily fee, which includes lunch.
